Overview

TexoOCR is a macOS menu bar application that recognizes mathematical formulas from images and converts them to LaTeX. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data TexoOCR handles and how.

Data Collection

TexoOCR does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.

• All image processing and formula recognition happens entirely on your device.
• No images, LaTeX results, or usage data are ever sent to any server.
• The app does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks.
• The app does not require an account or login.

Local Data

TexoOCR stores the following data locally on your Mac:

• Recognition history — captured images and their LaTeX results, stored in the app's sandboxed container. You can clear this at any time from the History window.
• Preferences — your settings (language, keyboard shortcut, etc.), stored via macOS UserDefaults.

This data never leaves your device.

Network

TexoOCR does not make any network requests. The app includes the network.client entitlement solely because macOS requires it for the internal WebKit rendering engine (used to display formula previews). No data is transmitted over the network.

Third-Party Services

TexoOCR does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs.

Children's Privacy

TexoOCR does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
